No, Rustic Timbers Door County Camping is privately owned by Brian and Sherrie Patten since May of 2014.
Yes, our campground and select cabins are pet-friendly. We do not have a size requirement, but all pets must be on a leash. We also maintain a no-barking rule. Please call for more questions.
Rustic Timbers is full of fun things to do. There is a heated pool, 2 jumping pillows, a gaga pit, waterside, pickleball, sand volleyball, horseshoes, sandbox, and 3 playground areas throughout the park. There are no additional fees to use any of the play equipment. We also have a laundromat available for campers use but there is a fee for the machines. Washers cost $2.00 and the dryers cost $1.50. We have laundry supplies and quarters available to purchase in the campstore.
We have large, pull through and back in private RV Sites available. Most of the sites are full hookups with 30\50amp service. Most sites are between 75′ and 125’. Please call for help to get you into the site that fits your unit best.
Yes, the pool is heated with lots of great seating on the deck to enjoy all-day fun in the sun.
We have lots of great events planned throughout the camping season. We always post a schedule of events on Facebook at the first of the year prior to opening our reservations for booking. Please check there for a schedule of events or our Events tab on our website.
We have an amazing camp store located in the main building. We have coffee and donuts available for purchase on the weekends as well as a large variety of things available for purchase. This includes a cool candy shop, groceries, toiletries, ice cream, slushies, toys, gifts, clothes, hats, beer, wine, Door County Coffee, you name it, if you forgot it, we got cha covered. This is also where you purchase firewood and ice.
We usually open the second Friday in May (weather pending) and close on Sunday of the last full weekend in October.
Rustic Timbers has about 150 seasonal sites. On average we turn over 3-5 a season. Rates vary throughout the park. We do maintain a waiting list.

Yes we do allow golf carts but we DO NOT allow electric scooters or mini bikes. Below is a copy of the waiver you have to sign to bring one in with all the necessary information. Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to bring a golf cart and we can add the use fee to your reservation.
Golf Cart Agreement
With your signature you indicate you have read and agreed to the following golf cart rules at Rustic Timbers Campground:
· I am at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
· Any other person(s) driving the golf cart are at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. However, I am still responsible for the behavior of any driver or passenger of this golf cart that is registered to my campsite.
· I will provide proof of current insurance.
· Golf carts must remain on gravel roads only, no off roading and NO DRIVING ON ANY GRASS AT ANYTIME. Parking is permitted only in parking lots or on gravel surfaces.
· 5 MPH speed limit applies to golf carts as well and must be followed at all times.
· Golf Cart must have working lights for nighttime use.
· No golf cart use after 11PM except for bathroom access.
· No standing up is permitted while the golf cart is moving.
· Golf carts are limited to the driver and 3 passengers only.
· Golf carts are subject to a one time per year use fee to be paid in order to be used on the property.
USE FEE (One Time Fee):
· Gas Golf Cart: $25
· Electric Golf Cart: $50
-Fees are a one-time fee per golf cart. If you visit the campground multiple times per year, you are only required to pay one fee for the season. We will give you a sticker for the golf cart that must be visible at all times.
I understand that:
1. I am responsible for any damages that may occur to another person, an object (such as other golf carts, buildings, cars, boats, trees, fences, etc.), or other personal or campground property.
2. If I drive the golf cart on any grassy area or off of the main campground graveled roads, I will forfeit my golf cart privileges. STAY ON GRAVEL ROADS within the campground. The trails in the back of the property are off limits as well.
3. Reckless or careless driving, driving while intoxicated, or allowing an unlicensed driver to drive the golf cart will result in forfeiting and immediately losing my privilege to have a golf cart on the property.
4. Tampering with stickers, not paying the use fee, or not providing current insurance for a golf cart all result in immediate forfeiture and abilities to use the golf cart on the property.
5. Failure to follow any of the above rules will result in immediate loss of golf cart use privileges. No Refunds will be issued for use fees if privileges are revoked.

We always open reservations for the next camping season on January 2nd of that year. The online reservation system as well as our office opens at 10AM on that day. Our winter office hours are from 10AM-4PM Monday-Friday beginning January 2nd until we open for the season.
January 2nd until our opening day we are answering the phones from 10AM-4PM Monday through Friday, but we are not in the office building, usually working from home.
Summer Hours (meaning while were open for the season): Office is open daily at 8:30AM and closes between 4PM and 9PM depending on the day of the week. Spring and Fall hours may be reduced from summer hours. We always have the current hours posted outside of the building on the wall.
After we close for the season at the end of October our office is closed. We do not answer the phones between November 1st and January 2nd. We also do not check the messages between those times so if you’re looking to get ahold of us please send us an email at office@rustictimbersdcc.com and someone will contact you ASAP. We also don’t always check emails every day in those two winter months so please be patient with us during our off season.
